Risk andamp; Control Testing - Financial Services- FTC- 12 Months

I am working with a Leading Financial Services firm on a new 12 month FTC role on a New Risk andamp; Control Testing role.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading organisation within their Global Markets division, which provides critical services such as trading, research, and securities lending to institutional clients. The successful candidate will play an integral part in identifying and managing operational, regulatory, and technological risks. Working closely with departments including trading, client support, and operations, you will assess potential vulnerabilities, propose effective solutions, and enhance procedural frameworks to ensure operational resilience and compliance. This position is ideally suited to a professional with a strategic outlook and a commitment to excellence.

In this capacity, you will support a range of activities, including risk evaluations, preparation for governance committees, and providing informed input on new initiatives or regulatory developments. My client seeks an individual with a robust background in financial services-preferably with a few years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operational roles-and a thorough understanding of UK and European regulatory frameworks, such as FCA and MiFID.

Exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with precision, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (notably Excel and PowerPoint) are essential.

Essential Requirements:

A meticulous and proactive approach, underpinned by strong analytical capabilities.
Proven expertise within financial services, particularly in securities or foreign exchange sectors.
The ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and articulate complex concepts with clarity.
A dedication to refining processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
