Vivid Healthcare are currently seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to support a community-based service in South Wales. This role is primarily community focused, working with individuals in their own homes to promote independence and safe discharge planning.The RoleThe postholder will carry out a wide range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, supporting service users with varying needs in the community. The role also includes participation in a Duty rota one day per week.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake holistic OT assessments and interventions within patients'' homesAssess for and recommend assistive equipment, minor and major adaptationsComplete manual handling and postural seating assessmentsSupport safe discharge planning and ongoing community rehabilitationLiaise effectively with MDT colleagues, service users and familiesParticipate in the weekly Duty rotaRequirementsQualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registrationIdeally previous experience working in a community settingStrong knowledge of manual handling, postural seating, and assistive aids/adaptationsExperience with or understanding of major home adaptationsAbility to work independently and manage a community caseloadThis is an excellent opportunity for an OT with community experience looking for a flexible locum role in South Wales. ..... full job details .....
