Senior Quantity SurveyorWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The business has become one of the biggest names in construction in the UK, undertaking private and public sector schemes across the education, leisure, extra care, defence and commercial sectors valuing up to 50mil. Projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract and some will have been procured through framework agreements so experience working on framework schemes would be beneficial. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to manage one of their upcoming projects as commercial lead. The project is currently in pre-construction and as Senior Quantity Surveyor you will manage the process through to the construction phase and eventual completion / final accounts. The project is in Hampshire and values circa 45mil. Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor: Manage the pre-construction phase Oversee all sub-contract procurement, delegating workload to other Surveyors in the team Manage variations / valuations to the client Budget forecasting Compile monthly CVRs Oversee more junior members of staff and track progress Key Requirements as Senior Quantity Surveyor: Be educated to HNC / Degree level Have experience managing a project valuing in excess of 30mil Have strong working knowledge of both JCT and NEC forms of contract Live in Hampshire and ..... full job details .....
