Full-time temp to perm position45 hour working weekSkills and salary progressionWe are currently looking for an experienced MIG / Spot Welder to join our busy structural steelwork manufacturing team.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder with experience working in a structural steelwork or heavy fabrication environment, producing quality steel components to engineering drawings and specifications.The RoleAs a MIG / Spot Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components, ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and dimensional standards. You will work from engineering drawings and follow welding procedures to produce accurate and consistent welds.You will need to understand that the duties involved are physical, due to the size and scale of some of the projects.Key Responsibilities:MIG welding structural steel components (largely mild steel)Spot welding and tack welding assembliesReading and interpreting engineering drawingsPreparing, positioning and securing components prior to weldingChecking dimensions and weld quality throughout productionWorking with various sizes and thicknesses of structural steelGrinding, finishing and preparing welded components where requiredMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working areaWorking to production targets while maintaining high-quality standardsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in MIG welding, fabrication or structural steelwork and be ..... full job details .....
