Full-time temp to perm position 45 hour working week Skills and salary progression We are currently looking for an experienced MIG / Spot Welder to join our busy structural steelwork manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder with experience working in a structural steelwork or heavy fabrication environment, producing quality steel components to engineering drawings and specifications. The Role As a MIG / Spot Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components, ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and dimensional standards. You will work from engineering drawings and follow welding procedures to produce accurate and consistent welds. You will need to understand that the duties involved are physical, due to the size and scale of some of the projects. Key Responsibilities: MIG welding structural steel components (largely mild steel) Spot welding and tack welding assemblies Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Preparing, positioning and securing components prior to welding Checking dimensions and weld quality throughout production Working with various sizes and thicknesses of structural steel Grinding, finishing and preparing welded components where required Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area Working to production targets while maintaining high-quality standards About You The ideal candidate will have previous experience in MIG welding, fabrication or ..... full job details .....
