Job Description
Regional Sales Manager, hazardous materials storage
Home-based field role | Live between Stoke, Nottingham, Northampton and Worcester | Up to -50,000 basic, bonus incentive, company car, 28 days plus statutory
The market leader in fire-resistant safety storage, with a UK office, showroom and service team in the region, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to grow its Midlands territory, working through distributors and directly with end users.
The customer isn''t buying a cabinet. They''re buying a safe, compliant way to store hazardous materials, and that means the site survey, the right distributor, the installation and the service that follows.
Why this role
- The Midlands sits between the north and south sales patches and has been covered alongside other responsibilities. It is a real opportunity to grow, and it needs someone to own it full time
- Resellers already on the patch generate enquiries once the relationship is there, and you are their first point of contact for support on every one
- A market being driven by lithium-ion batteries, where insurers now expect protected storage and most workplaces haven''t acted yet
- Projects that grow: one site survey often becomes several products and a service contract-
- Two weeks'' product training at the manufacturing site, then time in the field with a Sales Director who has sold this product in the UK for over 13 years
- A small team, where what you win is noticed
What you''ll bring
- A way of selling that starts with education. On this occasion, that means helping customers understand the regulations and the risk, then recommending the right solution-
- A record of winning new B2B business face to face, and of building relationships with partners who bring you in
- Comfort with a sale that has several parts: the end user, the specifier, the distributor and the people on site, and the ability to keep them all moving
- Ownership of the whole job, making sure every part fits together so the order goes through and the customer is looked
- Confidence presenting to groups, or a real wish to learn
- The discipline to report your pipeline and quotes every week
- A full UK driving licence
That experience could come from health and safety solutions, workplace or facilities products, capital equipment or long-term service contracts. What matters is that you are a professional B2B salesperson who takes the job seriously and is proud to do it.
