Graduate Behaviour Mentor

OverviewA vibrant secondary school in Islington is seeking a passionate and resilient Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This role is ideal for someone considering a career in education, social care, or youth justice, and offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and group mentoring for students who need additional behavioural and emotional support
Help develop and implement behaviour management strategies alongside the pastoral team
Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and help students build resilience
Act as a trusted adult and role model, supporting students in overcoming barriers to education
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies where needed
Requirements
Graduate with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, or mentoring settings
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
Empathetic, patient, and motivated by helping students achieve their potential
