Sous Chef Hospital

We are looking for a Second Chef to join our Catering Team at New Victoria Hospital. We are a prestigious Private Hospital who take pride in providing excellent patient care at all times.The role willensure a high standard of food preparation and presentation for patients, visitors and staff, and willassist in the effective management of the Catering Service at the Hospital.Duties of the post will also include administrative responsibilities such as supporting the Head Chef with ordering supplies and other administration tasks when needed.Requirements
QualificationsLevels 2 and 3 (supervisory/management) NVQ in Catering or equivalentCity and Guilds food hygieneAdvanced level City and Guilds qualifications;
desirableKnowledgeFood hygiene standardsMenu CreationStock Control / PurchasingUnderstanding of dietary needs in terms of health care;
desirableExperience5 plus years in a commercial kitchen or similar environmentPersonal CircumstancesAble to work overtime if needed and to work on a 7 days rota as and when required
The role is a permanent role and will be 37.5 hours a week. There will also be the opportunity for additional hours, and also for uplifted pay of 30% on night and Saturday working and 60% on Sunday and Bank Holidays. The role could require working through a 7 day rota.
