We cover Fixed Voice, Mobility, Fibre and connectivity, and networked IT services on the UK network. We also provide network IT services to corporate and public sector organisations in the Republic of Ireland. Our Wholesale business helps communications providers and other organisations deliver fixed or mobile phone services, plus enterprise services including Fleet Solutions and BT Redcare.Why this job matters
The business development manager will be responsible for sector new growth and expansion, identifying and securing new opportunities outside of our current customer base. They will create innovative go-to-market strategies and develop unique solutions to meet market needs while nurturing relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders to establish the foundations for long-term success. Continuous learning is essential to stay updated with customer trends, new technologies and best practices.What You’ll Be Doing
Accountable for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities outside existing BT Wholesale relationships, to meet and exceed annual metrics for financial performance and customer satisfaction.Developing and implementing strategic plans that are flexible and responsive to changes in business landscapes.Building creative approaches to drive key deals, addressing challenges, effective networking, deal-closing, and after-sales management.Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts using Salesforce, including contact management and data accuracy.Promote the full Wholesale and the wider BT product and capability portfolio.Work cross-functionally across the organisation to leverage subject matter expertise and other stakeholders’ help to drive opportunities to close.The Skills You’ll Need
