Trainee Buyer

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a-Trainee Buyer-include:

• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Raise purchase orders and track deliveries
• Maintain procurement records and supplier databases
• Assist supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
• Support QS and Commercial teams with admin tasks and reporting
• Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier info
• Liaise with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments
• Assist with procurement schedules and project requirements
• Attend site visits and supplier meetings as needed

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal-Trainee Buyer-with be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Basic commercial and construction industry knowledge preferred
• Full UK driving licence preferred
