Trainee Buyer
Trainee Buyer Newark, Full Time, Permanent 28,000 - 30,000 DOE THE ROLE Your responsibilities as a Trainee Buyer include: Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Raise purchase orders and track deliveries Maintain procurement records and supplier databases Assist supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives Support QS and Commercial teams with admin tasks and reporting Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier info Liaise with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments Assist with procurement schedules and project requirements Attend site visits and supplier meetings as needed THE CANDIDATE The ideal Trainee Buyer with be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Strong organisational and administrative skills Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Strong attention to detail and numerical skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Basic commercial and construction industry knowledge preferred Full UK driving licence preferred THE BENEFITS Competitive salary and benefits package ( 28,000 - 30,000 per annum) Career development and progression opportunities Exposure to high-quality residential projects Fun, sociable, supportive, and collaborative working environment 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service Pension contribution: 4% employee, 3% employer Death in Service benefit Salary sacrifice ..... full job details .....
