Senior Test Automation Engineer / SDET with recent Asset / Fund / Investment Management experience. Salary £78K - £100K plus benefits (Inside IR35 contract). Hybrid location: 3 days/week in Central London. Permanent role.What You’ll Be Doing

Design, build, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Playwright, SpecFlow, and custom tools in C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.Drive end-to-end test coverage across UI, API, and data layers — covering functional, performance, and non-functional testing.Be the go-to technical leader, liaising between automation architects, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.Champion quality engineering practices and help build a best-in-class QA culture.Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and implement strategic improvements in tooling and processes.Provide technical demos and knowledge sharing across teams.What You Bring To The Table

Sector Expertise : Recent, hands-on experience in Asset / Fund / Investment Management is essential.Tech Stack Mastery :Languages: C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQLFrameworks: Playwright, SpecFlow, and custom toolsTesting Excellence :Strong in data testing (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks)Deep understanding of Agile and TDDHands-on with performance/load testing, API, and UI testingLeadership : Proven experience in mentoring, leading test strategy, and improving quality processesTooling : Confident using Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, Visio, PowerPoint, and ExcelBonus Points
