to be considered.Key Responsibilities*

Architectural Design:

Develop and define the hardware architecture for naval systems, ensuring integration with existing and new ship platforms.*

Sonar and Sensor Systems:

Provide expertise in sonar systems, radar, and other sensor integration where applicable.*

System Compliance:

Ensure all designs align with MOD and defence industry standards (e.g., DEF STAN, MIL-STD).*

Technical Oversight:

Work with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to deliver robust solutions.*

Documentation and Reviews:

Produce high-quality technical documentation, system specifications, and conduct design reviews.*

Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with end clients, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.*

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with system design and implementation.Essential Skills and Experience*Proven experience as a

Hardware Architect

within the defence or naval sector.*Strong background in

frigate ship systems

and onboard hardware architecture.*Knowledge of

sonar systems

and their integration within naval platforms is highly beneficial.* Experience working with

DEF STAN, MIL-STD, and other relevant industry standards

.* Understanding of

power distribution, networking, and embedded systems

in maritime environments.*Ability to create

high-level hardware architectures

and ensure successful integration with wider defence systems.*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.*Experience managing

full hardware lifecycle

, from concept through to deployment.*
