ER Business Partner
Your new company
I am currently representing a highly respected financial services organisation responsible for managing substantial assets and administering UK pension schemes. As part of an exciting period of transformation, the business is investing in its People function and building a brand-new People Business Partnering team to support its long-term growth and strategic ambitions.
Initially focused on Employee Relations, you will manage a varied and complex caseload while acting as a trusted adviser to leaders and managers across the organisation.
You will:
- Build strong relationships across the business, partnering with leaders to align people strategies with commercial objectives.
- Provide expert coaching and support to managers on employee relations, performance management and talent development.
- Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and workplace conflict cases
- Provide expert employment law, policy and best-practice advice
- Support investigations and recommend fair, balanced and pragmatic outcomes
- Review and develop People policies and procedures
- Identify emerging people risks and trends through case data and insight
- Support organisational change and work with trade unions or employee representatives when required
As the People partnering model develops, you will have the opportunity to broaden your remitand contribute to wider People initiatives and organisational strategy.
What you''ll need to succeed
- Strong Employee Relations experience, with a proven track record of managing complex, high-risk ER cases from start to finish.
- Working with stakeholders
- Deep expertise across disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management, workplace conflict and employment law matters.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and Employee Relations best practice.
- Experience gained within financial services, professional services, or another highly regulated environment.
- Confident coaching, influencing and challenging managers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience developing People policies, procedures and supporting organisational change initiatives.
- Commercially minded and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance technical expertise with pragmatic business advice.
- Immediately available or on a notice period of no more than one month.
