General Manager

Role overview:
This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy, and determination to drive and develop the business. We''re looking for a manager with experience in developing the standards and reputation of this new gym while nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.Maintain and adhere to the JD Gyms Brand Standard.Conduct regular safety checks (daily, weekly, monthly). Report and address any defects to ensure the safety of the building and equipment.Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure the club operates smoothly and meets daily expectations.Hold regular team meetings to support development and communication.Work towards and aim to achieve all set sales and membership targets.Maximise secondary revenue through additional spending.Maintain the gym facility to the highest standards of cleanliness.Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistants) maintain high cleaning standards. Manage weekly banking to minimise wastage and variances, maximising profit.Ensure all team members adhere to uniform standards.Deliver outstanding member service consistently.Create an enjoyable work environment for the team.Represent JD Gyms positively as an ambassador.Skills and Experience:
Proven management experience within the leisure industry.Passionate about customer service and capable of inspiring leadership.Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.Track record of driving sales, managing local marketing, and leading successful teams.Experience as a General Manager or similar role overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility is preferred.
