£18.19 p/h

Hours: 37 per week (Monday-Thursday 8-4:30pm Friday 8am-1pm)

My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team on a continued on going contract basis.

Quality Engineer Requirements:

• ISO9001/14001/TS 16949 auditing experience
• Microsoft Office - Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Email
• PPAP Process
• Ability to read Engineering Drawings
• Ability to read Material Specifications
• Ability to use various measuring equipment
• 8D understanding
• Generation of Reports and KPI graphs
• Experienced in working under own initiative, demonstrating an ability to set & meet personal targets, combined with the flexibility to adjust to workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.
• Interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to customer service
• Negotiation skills, logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good planning and organisational skills, attention to detail.
• Background within medium/high volume manufacturing/engineering environment
• Six Sigma Tools (understanding)

Quality Engineer Duties:

• To look at a process and document it in the form of a procedure.
• Control of Internal Production Quality (component/build quality issues).
• To provide problem solving techniques to product related quality issues.
• Internal, Customer and Supplier 8D generation and investigation. (Root cause, corrective and preventative actions)
• Customer/ Supplier liaison and monitoring relating to product and system quality aspects.
• To perform Internal Audits.
• To conduct IMDS Updates.
• Involvement with new projects - FMEA, Control plans.
• Process and Machine capability analysis, Gauge R&R.
• To assist with Lean and Quality projects.
• NPI and Management of change.
