We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Cook to join our team on an agency basis, working at one of our residential care homes a friendly and supportive care home located in Stowmarket (IP14 1AT).

Location: Woodfield Court, Violet Hill Road, Stowmarket, IP14 1AT
Position: Care Home Cook (Agency)
Hours: Flexible shifts available (daytime hours, including weekends)
Pay: £16- £17 per hour  (paid weekly) entitled to Holiday pay

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious, home-style meals for residents.
• Cater to individual dietary needs and allergies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Work in line with care home policies and food safety regulations
• Collaborate with care staff to ensure meal satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cook in a care home or similar setting
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher) – required.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs (e.g., diabetic, pureed diets)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
• Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen efficiently.
• Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent care.
