This is a high-impact role where you will be the first point of call for students needing emotional, social, or behavioural guidance.In this role, you aren''t just assisting a teacher; you are mentoring young people, managing attendance, and helping students navigate the challenges of secondary school life.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Mentoring: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or social challenges.Behaviour Support: Work alongside the pastoral team to implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalate conflicts.Attendance Liaison: Identify patterns of persistent absence and work with families to encourage re-engagement with education.Crisis Intervention: Act as a safe, calm presence for students during high-stress moments or emotional outbursts.Safeguarding: Ensure all student concerns are reported and managed in line with the school''s safeguarding policies.The Ideal CandidateExperience: Previous experience in a pastoral role, youth work, or a similar environment (e.g., residential care or ..... full job details .....
