Assistant Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity – Commercial & Data Centre Projects - London

We are working with a leading M&E Contractor is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to join their London team for commercial fitouts and data centres in London. The Role:

As Assistant Mechanical Project Manager, you will share responsibility for the mechanical package on various projects with an established Mechanical Project Manager, ensuring delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical installations on a major data centre scheme
• Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
• Overseeing programme, cost control, and quality assurance
• Driving health & safety standards across site operations
• Leading commissioning and handover processes in line with critical environment requirements
• Reporting into senior leadership and contributing to overall project strategy

About You:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager/Supervisor within M&E / building services
• Strong background delivering data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects
• Experience working for a main contractor or principal contractor environment
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and commissioning processes
• Ability to manage complex programmes in fast-paced environments
