TieTalent .Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Surrey. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, including SEMH, and to support children with MLD and SLD. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to improve engagement and educational outcomes.We are a child-centered company with a dedicated SEN / SEND Support Team that guides and supports you through every placement.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted ProvisionWork with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional supportDeliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring sessionDeliver engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progressComplete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)Minimum 2 years teaching experienceExperience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational NeedsExperience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processesEnhanced DBS (we can help obtain at cost if needed)Two professional referencesBased in the UK with right to work in the UK (including remote/online)Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements; contract for service; payment via PAYENo guaranteed workload; insurance covers the workNot a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
