Programme Manager

One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Programme Manager on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week. Overview: The Program Manager is responsible for leading the development and delivery of a comprehensive, outcome-led transformation program and coordinating a program of complex projects and changing management activities across the Environmental, Sustainability and Leisure departments. The post holder will ensure the selection and framing of projects and other business-as-usual activities are structured into a program to deliver maximum benefit by using a planned, systematic and iterative approach and life cycle. They will manage all aspects of program delivery from initiation to evaluation, including establishing appropriate governance structures, enabling effective decision making, initiating reporting structures, managing the program budget, and working closely with senior sponsors and stakeholders. They will set the standard in how programs are managed across the department.
