Senior Quantity Surveyor. GRS are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team supporting projects across the UK, in the MEICA / Water Industry.The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who enjoys working autonomously and driving financial performance across multiple projects. You will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle, from tender handover through to final account, while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members.Responsibilities

Take full commercial ownership of multiple projects, managing budgets from inception to completionLead on cashflow forecasting, cost/value reporting, and monthly payment applications/certificationsNegotiate and manage sub-contracts, including drafting and reviewing contract documentsMonitor project costs and encourage cost awareness across operations teamsPrepare accurate forecasts and detailed cost reports for internal and external stakeholdersRepresent the commercial function in meetings with clients, suppliers, and project partnersEnsure compliance with contract requirements, particularly NEC3/4 frameworksPromote safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement in project deliveryMentor and support junior commercial staffAbout You

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineAt least 5 years of experience in a similar senior roleStrong track record in budget control, reporting, and forecastingHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel and WordExcellent communicator, confident presenting and reporting to all levelsStrong negotiation skills with proven ability to secure best value outcomesFamiliarity with NEC3/4 contracts is essentialExperience in the water, utilities, or MEICA sectors is an advantage but not a requirementBenefits
