Our goal is to create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute their unique perspectives.Summary of Role:We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects software design, development and implementation for SCADA and RTU based systems. The role will require the successful candidate to work with the project manager in leading a team to deliver mostly short turn around small projects. You will lead the team through all aspects of a project lifecyle for the delivery of Substation Control Systems in the Transmission and Distribution sector. Projects include upgrades of systems to latest versions, modification of systems for extensions and improvements. The candidate should have proven main-stream control automation experience as well as team leadership experience across several previous projects. Experience with Gateways, Bay Controllers and RTUs on electrical substations is desirable but not essential.Minimum 5 years experience /Advanced SCADA Configuration skills using at least one of the following applications:Rockwell FactoryTalk View SEArchestrA System PlatformExperience of producing Function Design Specifications, System/Detailed Design Specifications and Test SpecificationsExperience of performing and leading Internal and Customer Factory Acceptance TestsExperience of technically leading a project or several small sub teams of a larger project as well as interacting and working across disciplinesExperience reviewing the technical work of othersKnowledge of project lifecycle working to QA proceduresWillingness to travel and work away when requiredFull UK Driving licenceExperience of writing software to IEC61131 utilising ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart and structured text.Experience of Gateways, Bay Controllers and RTUsGE C264 products or DS Agile platformSEL RTAC and AXION rangeGE D2x range of products (Multilin D20MX, D20ME)GE Multilin G500 gatewaysExperience using at least one of the following technologies:-Siemens PCS7 Automation StationsRockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix utilising Studio 5000Experience of communication protocols including:-Experience of virtualisation utilising VMWare or HyperVExperience Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Domain ConfigurationExperience of Network Switch and Firewall ConfigurationKnowledge of network architectures including RSTP, PRP and HSRExperience of Software Defined Network solutions including Flow ControllersExperience of simulation software e.g. SIMIT/ PICS/WinMODExperience of renewable power generation control systemsExperience of site work/commissioning automation control systemsExperience of Legacy PLCs/software e.g. Rockwell RSLogix5, 500 or 5000, Schneider Unity Pro/Concept, Siemens Step 7.Experience of delivering safety systems to IEC 61508/61511Experience of delivering cyber secure systems to IEC 62443.Personal Qualities:Confident and capable and able to work under own initiative and within a team environmentAbility to work well under pressure and to deadlinesHave good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to both Lead and work as part of a team.Structured and analytical way of working.Be flexible in working methods to achieve best outcomes.In return Capula offers the following benefits to permanent employeesPensionLife assurance policySalary sacrifice programmeMental health assistance programmeCycle to work schemeOpportunities for professional development and growth within the companyProfessional memberships fees covered/study supportNOTE TO EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES : We are currently working with only our preferred suppliers.
