An established food manufacturing business is seeking a proactive and experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and continuously improve site hygiene operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of the hygiene function, ensuring that cleaning and sanitation activities support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the site. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and support the Hygiene Team, including scheduling, performance management, and training. Develop, maintain, and monitor hygiene schedules and cleaning procedures through regular audits and inspections. Coordinate and oversee deep-cleaning programmes, including full equipment strip-downs where required. Support technical and quality functions in relation to pest control management and audit preparation. Conduct routine inspections to verify hygiene, food safety, and workplace standards. Monitor and achieve targets relating to microbiological performance, HACCP compliance, and equipment release procedures. Liaise with external chemical and hygiene service providers to maintain effective sanitation systems.
