Project Worker - Safe Spaces
Permanent with funding until September 2026 (subject to extension)Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £26,100 per annum Location: Nottingham CountyThe Children''s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We''re there for children, every step of the way.This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children. We also deliver work around ''systems change'' that challenge the barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.We are currently looking for a creative and resilient person to join our ..... full job details .....
