Technical Support Engineer (Service Department) – Worcester BasedA GBP 16.05 – 20.40/hr (c. A GBP 31k – 39k). Band 7 – 9 (DOE).Job description for a technical role supporting customers and breakdown/service engineers across the UK, with occasional field travel. Office-based; ideal for a Midlands-based candidate to support field colleagues and develop machine tool experience within the UK Service Department (UK Sales) for the Spares Department, reporting to the UK Service Manager.Responsibilities

Support customers and field engineers across the country; may involve occasional field support and UK travel.Build on machine tool experience and become a key member of the Technical Support Team.Create incidents for workflow within the team and identify parts from current manuals.Assist in fault diagnosis and understand Mazak product range and machine structures.Essential Qualifications

Engineer with electrical or mechanical knowledge and understanding of Mazak machine tools.Experience of Mazatrol controls, machine operations and axis movements.Understanding of Mazak product range of machines.Experience of fault diagnosis.Understanding mechanical drawings and schematic electrical drawings.Understanding structure of machines and how they work.Ability to work alongside current engineers supporting customer requirements.Identification of parts from current manuals.Creating incidents for workflow within the team.Able to find part numbers for mechanical and electrical items.Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of Windows-based applications.Team player with a can-do attitude.Ability to communicate with customers at all levels and excellent telephone manner.Flexible working approach to meet demand (including overtime if required).Benefits and Rewards
