£40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with overtime and occasional Saturdays

Do you enjoy variety in the bodyshop and have experience across stripping and fitting, preparation, painting and polishing?

ACS Automotive are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician to join a growing, family-run vehicle repair and refinishing business in Wickford.

Working as part of a friendly team, you will contribute across different stages of the repair process. This is an opportunity for a practical, adaptable technician who enjoys varied work and is happy to get involved wherever their skills are needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping and refitting vehicle components before and after repairs.

• Carrying out minor body repairs, including filler work.

• Sanding and preparing surfaces for refinishing.

• Carrying out paintwork and polishing to achieve a high-quality finish.

• Checking your work throughout the repair process.

• Working with colleagues to keep jobs progressing efficiently.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous hands-on experience within a vehicle bodyshop.

• A broad skill set covering stripping and fitting, minor repairs, preparation, painting and polishing.

• Good attention to detail and pride in the finished result.

• The ability to manage varied tasks and changing workshop priorities.

• A flexible, team-focused approach.

Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential. Practical experience is the priority, and support is available to gain relevant qualifications. Candidates should be willing to develop their skills and work towards these.
