Infrastructure Engineer - VMware Horizon / VDI Manchester £70,000-£80,000 + Bonus and Benefits Infrastructure Engineer required by an established innovative and cutting-edge technology organisation delivering highly secure infrastructure and services into sensitive UK environments. They''re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience across VMware / Omnissa Horizon, VDI and enterprise endpoint environments. This isn''t a generic Infrastructure Engineer position and it isn''t a pure Security Engineer role either. The real focus is somebody who understands how to own, support, improve and secure a large-scale Horizon / VDI environment, alongside thin-client and managed endpoint estates. What you''ll be working with You''ll take responsibility across areas including: Omnissa Horizon / VMware Horizon VDI Horizon Connection Servers Unified Access Gateway (UAG) Instant Clones App Volumes Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) Desktop pools and image lifecycle management VMware vSphere / ESXi Thin-client estates across multiple UK locations Windows endpoint / laptop management Active Directory and Group Policy Patching, hardening and vulnerability remediation Infrastructure monitoring and operational support Security controls within highly regulated environments Automation and scripting where appropriate You''ll also work closely with wider infrastructure, networking and security teams to ensure the environment remains secure, resilient and ..... full job details .....
