Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon

Be among the first 25 applicants. A new and exciting opportunity is advertised for a Urology Consultant to join our Urology team. This is a fixed term post for an 8th urology consultant. This is a new post and applicants with skills that complement the department would be welcome. The department is open to candidates developing their own subspecialty interests. An interest in core urology and competence in bladder outflow surgery/functional urology would be desirable. The successful applicant will be an 8th new consultant post, joining 7 substantive consultants, based at Northampton General Hospital delivering high quality elective and emergency urological services to the catchment area.

We have also entered a Group Model with neighbouring Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
Fully participate in elective and emergency urological service (this includes management of common paediatric inguino-scrotal conditions)Provide highest possible levels of patient careWork as an active member of the Urology teamActively remain clinically competentWork closely with Multidisciplinary teamsActivate particulate and undertake auditTeach staff/Medical StudentsWork to all Trust Policies and proceduresWork flexiblySubmit applications promptly as adverts may close before the closing date once sufficient applications are received
