SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School - Warrington
Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs within a mainstream classroom?
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within mainstream primary schools across Warrington.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is focused on helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while remaining part of the wider classroom environment. You may work with individual pupils, small groups or provide additional support across the classroom depending on the needs of the school.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Warrington, you will:
- Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs
- Work on a one to one and small group basis
- Help pupils access classroom activities and the wider curriculum
- Encourage communication, confidence and independence
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Schools may be supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social communication difficulties or other SEND requirements.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will ideally have previous experience in a primary school, special educational setting, care environment or another role supporting children with additional needs.
You will need to be patient, consistent and confident in adapting your approach according to the individual child.
