Your new companyOur client runs a nurturing residential care home dedicated to supporting children and young people. The organisation upholds the highest standards of care and professionalism.Your new roleAs Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home. You\''ll lead and develop a dedicated staff team, ensure compliance with childcare legislation, and uphold the home\''s Statement of Purpose. Your responsibilities will span operational management, safeguarding, care planning, behaviour support, and quality assurance. You\''ll also participate in the on-call rota and act as a role model for both staff and residents.Full-time hours: 40 hours per weekResponsibilities
Lead and develop the staff teamSupport the Registered Manager in day-to-day operationsEnsure compliance with childcare legislationUphold the home’s Statement of PurposeOversee operational management, safeguarding, care planning, behaviour support, and quality assuranceParticipate in the on-call rotaAct as a role model for staff and residentsWhat you\''ll need to succeed
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or be willing to undertake it)Proven experience in residential care settingsStrong leadership and team management skillsA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesA proactive and reflective approach to continuous improvementWhat you\''ll get in return
