WRG is supporting a small independent Health and Safety consultancy which is looking to appoint an ambitious CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer to their team in Chester. The business is investing heavily into their team and will hire a competent CDM/PD professional to work on a range of property and construction projects across the North West. They have recently won a large project within the aviation sector where the successful consultant will be based from, up to 3 days a week to ensure that the project runs smoothly throughout its course. The role would suit a proactive CDM/ PD professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled; our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.
Responsibilities
Offer a range of HandS/CDM services to clients.
Ensure CDM compliance on construction projects.
Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, with input on safety in design.
Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and kept up to date.
Conduct CDM workshops for clients.
Prepare health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
Build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Liaise with stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Full UK driving license.
