Service Charge Analyst

Location: Grosvenor House, 125 High Street, Croydon, CR0 9XP

Contract Duration: 2+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Responsibilities

• Accurately calculate, construct, and issue all estimated and actualized service charges, ensuring compliance with legal deadlines, contractual agreements, policies, and procedures, with a focus on complex cases.
• Deliver a customer-centric, expert service for service charge payers, directly resolving complex customer queries and collaborating with internal colleagues to address complaints, disputes, and dissatisfaction.
• Prepare service charge information and supporting evidence for First Tier Tribunal and attend if required.
• Identify and act on areas for improvement in the calculation of service charges and the provision of information to residents.
• Share knowledge and work collaboratively with the team to enhance resilience across service charge setting activities.

Person Specification

• Experienced in service charge analysis, with a strong understanding of residential and commercial service charge management, including current legislative requirements and sector best practices.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing and delivering a range of tasks to meet deadlines.
• Experience in working with councillors, the wider community, and other external partners.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong financial and numerical skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
