We are seeking an experienced Manual Turner to join a skilled and supportive engineering team, working with high-precision machinery to deliver parts that meet stringent specifications. Key Responsibilities: Operate conventional turning lathes and Webster and Bennett borers to produce precision metal components. Accurately set up workpieces using lifting equipment where required. Interpret technical drawings and route cards to understand machining requirements. Execute machining operations to precise tolerances, maintaining a high standard of quality throughout. Perform self-inspection using hand tools such as micrometers and verniers to ensure dimensional accuracy. Keep your work area clean and well-organized in line with site standards. Follow company procedures and policies related to quality, health and safety, and operational best practices. What We''re Looking For: Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in a similar role within metal manufacturing or machining.
