Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Enterprise Architect to steer LandG''s strategic technology direction. This role involves delivering business-focused analysis and insights into the current IT landscape to inform investment plans for business capabilities. The Enterprise Architect will define business capability roadmaps and drive optimization of the application portfolio. The successful candidate will ensure that LandG makes technology decisions that maximise investment value while managing risk exposure.What you''ll be doing:Work with senior managers and business stakeholders to develop multi-year business capability driven roadmaps that outline the evolution of technology and processes to meet strategic objectives. Continuously refine and adjust roadmaps based on changing business conditions, market trends, and organisational needs.Conduct assessments of the IT landscape to understand existing architectures, capabilities, and constraints. Provide recommendations for investment, modernisation, consolidation, and decommissioning to deliver an optimised IT landscape based on business goals and industry best practices.Enhance and maintain the Enterprise Architecture repository as part of the extended IT Management Data landscape. Create insights and visualisation for business and IT managers.Maintain a view of the technology industry and market trends to highlight their potential impact on the Group Functions architecture.Contribute to architectural standards, frameworks, and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across the organisation. Communicate architectural decisions effectively to stakeholders, providing clear rationale and demonstrating business impact.Identify and maintain regular written and in-person communications with key stakeholders. Adapt styles when needed to achieve required interaction and investment from others. Communicate effectively across technical topics with non-technical audiences.Collaborate across disciplines within Divisions and across LandG to align architecture philosophies, processes, frameworks, and communities that reduce risk and deliver shareholder value.Ensure that the appropriate MI, process, and systems are in place to support other business areas, ensuring customers are treated fairly, in line with Legal and Generals Customer Experience and TCF policy.Qualifications - Who we''re looking for:Expertise in business capability-centric enterprise architecture and roadmap design.Extensive knowledge and experience in IT governance and industry standards.Proficiency in business models, operating models, financial models, budgeting, and risk management.Skilled in architecture governance using enterprise architecture artifacts, including principles, policies, views, viewpoints, building blocks, and guardrails.Ability to develop and project a positive image of the IT function and company through effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communications to diverse audiences.Proven practical approach in supporting the business to achieve its vision and targeted outcomes through innovative IT solutions.Excellent stakeholder management skills, adept at building engagement, delivering difficult messages, and promoting the architectural vision.Recognised thought leader in Enterprise Architecture, capable of painting a compelling image of future IT capabilities and their desirability.We offer a comprehensive package including:The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes.Generous pension contribution.Life assurance.Private medical insurance (for permanent employees).At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, increasing to 26 days after 2 years of service.
