Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacherandnbsp;to join a vibrant specialist school in the High Wycombe area. This role involves working closely with pupils with complex learning difficulties, providing tailored support to help them thrive.
The school is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced SEN Teacherandnbsp;with a proven track record of classroom success. The role includes working 1:1 and with small groups of students across a range of age groups, delivering personalised learning plansandnbsp;that support each studentandrsquo;s unique learning journey and help them grow in confidence, independence, and happiness.
About the Role:
- Solid understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Calm, patient, and composed under pressure
- Adaptable and open-minded, with a keen ability to recognise and support individual student strengths and areas for development
- Skilled at fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Demonstrates empathy, emotional intelligence, and a compassionate approach
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrates sensitivity, empathy, and a strong understanding of individual needs
- Maintains patience and composure in challenging or high-pressure situations
- Works effectively as part of a team, fostering strong collaborative relationships
