Plant Maintenance Technician (Fermentation) Port Talbot - Up to £45k DOE plus excellent benefits Our client a leading manufacturer of Nutritional Supplements is looking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Technician for their prestigious site based in Port Talbot. The Plant Maintenance Technician will play an integral role in monitoring and maintaining the Fermentation Plant. Salary: Up to £45k DOE plus excellent benefits. Location: Port Talbot Working Hours: Days and Afternoons Plant Maintenance Technician (Fermentation) Responsibilities: Monitoring Steam, including boilers and system operation, components and controls. Maintaining compressed air and associated systems. Maintaining fluid systems and controls. HVAC, humidity control systems. Handling liquid nitrogen and industrial gases. Maintaining and replacing pumps. Maintaining and replacing Valves (including pneumatic, manual and modulating). Monitoring and maintaining chemical dosing systems chemical safety Monitoring pressure vessels, chilled water and vacuum systems/pumps. The successful candidate: An understanding of automated controls / HMI / PLC control of process systems (not necessarily programming). Ability to understand and manipulate systems based upon the PandIDs. Ability to modify and set up controllers and system control parameters.
