Group Event DirectorLondon based hybrid roleAre you a senior events professional looking for a step up into a high-profile leadership role? We’re working with a leading events business that is searching for an ambitious Group Event Director to oversee a portfolio of international, high-end B2B events.This role will put you at the heart of strategy and delivery. You’ll be responsible for the commercial performance of the portfolio, leading sponsorship sales and delegate acquisition while ensuring every event runs seamlessly. You’ll also manage and develop a team of 12, providing clear direction and support to help them succeed.What will this role include?Driving revenue growth through sponsorship and delegate recruitment strategiesTaking ownership of budgets and ensuring profitability across the portfolioLeading and inspiring a team of 12, setting goals and monitoring performanceOverseeing world-class event delivery with a focus on quality and innovationPartnering with marketing to increase delegate and sponsor engagementIdentifying new revenue streams and opportunities to expand the brandThe ideal candidate will have/ be:Significant senior experience in B2B events, ideally including hosted buyer formatsA proven record in delegate recruitment and/or sponsorship salesStrong commercial acumen with budget management expertiseExcellent people leadership skills and experience managing a sizeable teamA proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to adapt to market trendsConfident communication skills and credibility at senior stakeholder levelThis is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on leader to take ownership of a growing events portfolio and make a real impact.
