Nursery Practitioner – Chelmsford

The nursery is seeking reliable and passionate Nursery Practitioners who can provide high-quality care and support children''s learning and development.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing a high standard of care for children
• Supporting children''s learning and development through play and planned activities
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment
• Supporting the daily routines of the nursery
• Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies
• Working effectively as part of the wider Early Years team

Qualifications and experience:

The nursery is ideally looking for candidates who hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, including:

• Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualifications
• Level 3 Technical Certificate in Early Years Education
• Other recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualifications may be considered

Unqualified candidates can also be considered where they have relevant experience working with young children. This could include experience as a Nursery Assistant, Childcare Assistant, Early Years Assistant, Playworker, Teaching Assistant or within another childcare or educational environment.

Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting is preferred, particularly experience supporting children aged 0–5, but relevant childcare experience will also be considered.
