37.5hrs across the 7-day weekOur Client provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, they support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.At the heart of what they do are their dedicated staff; their exceptional commitment and professionalism means every family has the opportunity to

make every moment count .It’s a great time to join this team as they have recently increased their inpatient capacity for end of life care and expanded their bereavement offer to support all families in Surrey and to the West of London whose child has died.About the role

You will beA professional role model, leading and coordinating the in-house hospice team to provide safe, high-quality care to children, young people and their families.Responsible and accountable for shift management and organisation of the in-hospice care, managing a wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities.Providing nursing advice organisation-wide to support and facilitate high-quality, individualised care to children / young people and families in collaboration with the multi-professional team.Responsible for standards of cleanliness within the clinical area during your shift.Facilitating the development of all junior staff within the team.Providing an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of child/young person care through research and evidence-based practice.Undertaking delegated responsibility for the hospice in the absence of the Lead Nurses.Being part of the Clinical On-Call Rota (Providing out of hours support for the In-House Team).About you

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a RN Child/Learning Disabilities or Adult NMC registration.Recent experience of working as a Band 5/6 in a clinical setting is required.Ideally, you will have experience of working with children who have complex care needs and/or a palliative diagnosis.You will also have an ability to think on your feet and problem solve in a fast-paced clinical environment.This role is part of the 24/7 clinical on-call rota.Please apply now or call 01303 840 882 for full details.
