Mechanical Design Engineer

My client was founded in 1969 and provides professional engineering consultancy, design, project, and construction management services across a wide range of sectors, from Pharmaceuticals to Heavy Engineering applying vision, purpose, and cutting-edge expertise. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be joining an expanding Design Office and have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of engineering projects within the process and industrial sectors (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metals, glass, energy and other process industries). The successful candidate will contribute to projects from initial concept and plant layout through to detailed design, engineering calculations, fabrication and installation. What we would like from the Mechanical Design Engineer:BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related disciplineExperienced in using AutoCAD and AutoPlant but open to experience using Plant 3D, Nastran, and NavisworksExperience in mechanical design, piping design, plant layout, process plant design, equipment and machinery design, equipment skid design, stress analysis, FEA, mechanical engineering calculations, site surveying, and existing plant modellingAble to interpret engineering drawings, PandIDs, and technical specificationsAble to apply engineering principles to practical design problemsExperience with standards such as ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), EN 13480 (Metallic Industrial Piping) would be desirable What we offer the Mechanical Design ..... full job details .....
