Our client, a private investment firm is seeking to hire an Investment Associate based in their London office. This position will focus on investment opportunities within the life sciences sector.Key Responsibilities:Identify and analyse potential investment opportunitiesLead due-diligence and deep-dive on new investmentsBuild and maintain financial models to support transactions and valuation analysis of prospective investmentsMonitor activities with portfolio companies – providing analysis of performance and tracking monthly/quarterly financial informationSupport with the management of portfolio companies, including operational and strategic decisions, as well as preparation for exitUndertake vital analysis on market trends to support investment decisions on new transactions and portfolio companiesAssist with developing and formulating meeting materials and reports as part of presentations for Investment CommitteeDevelop strong working relationships with other teams internally including Business Development, Investor Relations and Operations/FinanceCandidate Requirements:3-4 years’ relevant experience as an analyst within investment banking, private equity/venture capital, corporate finance, transaction services or equivalentExperience with life sciences investments would be desirableSelf-motivated, proactive and hard-working with a high level of commercial acumenTeam player and excellent communicatorExceptional financial modelling skillsPositive attitude towards problem solvingStrong analytical ability and numerateExcellent academic backgroundNote that this is a highly competitive position.
