Description We are recruiting a Housing Service Manager to lead and manage a team of craft operatives undertaking maintenance work on housing stock, ensuring that the highest standards are achieved and maintained. Responsibility. Provide and deliver a comprehensive contracting service to our clients, covering voids and emergency works, by providing the required repair services through the effective use of in-house staff and contractors. Manage, organise, and control the activities of all allocated operatives, setting targets, monitoring performance, attendance, and conduct, identifying training needs and resolving issues. Qualification Essential GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. HNC Building Studies or equivalent, or have extensive equivalent experience. Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media. Essential - Skills, Abilities, and Experience Demonstrate evidence of continued professional and personal development within a relevant discipline. Must have experience in managing both external contractors and internal operatives. Must have experience in managing work and budgets, keeping to budgets and timeframes. Understanding of issues around the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment contracts in an urban environment. An understanding of construction and maintenance-related contracts.
