This role is in support of Cencora''s wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business

Responsibilities

To drive the daily performance of operatives, to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a transport operation in line with departmental Key Performance Indicators.To implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, escalating any areas of concern immediately to the Line Manager.All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) of Medicinal products for Human use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our Standard Operating Practice (SOP) – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix.As directed by the Management Team deliver training on operational procedures and processes in accordance with company strategy including but not exclusively GDP and Transport SOP''s with particular focus on housekeeping.In conjunction with and supported by the Management Team actively endorse, promote and manage our IIP culture and status though but not exclusively team briefing, training and if applicable 121’s and return to works for first and second occasions of absence.Support the Driver Team Manager in achieving departmental and company objectivesCarry out any reasonable request as determined by the Service Centre Management Team promoting and supporting company initiativesEnsure company procedure / standards are adopted and monitored with regard to transportation of productsEnsuring vehicle security disciplines are maintainedEnsure all Paper work is kept up to date ( Well, OTC and 3rd Party )Ensuring standards are maintained with regard to vehicle and driver presentationEnsuring monitoring standards are maintained with regard to order control, driver records, customer service related incidentsMaintaining a good standard of housekeepingOverall knowledge of operation required, to facilitate adequate cover during absence and holidaysMeeting all Health and Safety requirements

Ability to engage and deliver motivation and form positive conditions amongst staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent own time management with key focus on staff managementKnowledge of department dependant systems with confidence to learn othersAbility to use initiative within per determined boundariesAbility to prioritise within per determined boundariesKnowledge of Warehouse and Distribution processesFamiliarity with Security, Audit and Compliance processes

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time as well as carrying out manual handling activities in line with our Health and Safety standards. Additional Information

An element of flexibility will be required in relation to overtime, which may include weekends and Bank Holiday working where necessary to meet the needs of the business. This will be agreed and with as much notice as possible, as per the Staff Handbook.Prospect of covering various aspects of direct line manager’s role leading to future career development.
