You’ll offer previous Credit Control experience and have the drive and desire to have a successful career in Finance. You will communicate confidently and effectively as you will be working with a variety of amazing people from across our business.You will be an experienced Excel user and offer strong numerical and problem solving skills, as well as being adept at financial systems and processes. As a proficient Credit Control professional who isn’t afraid of a challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your credit management career with the UK’s largest independent engineering and inspection business during a period of significant growth and transformation.What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Group Credit Control Manager, you will be joining a well-established and experienced Credit Control Team. You will be responsible for securing payments from our direct client base. You will have responsibility for your own group of accounts and will be expected to bring enthusiasm, and a ‘can-do’ attitude, as a key member of a highly supportive team.Chase payment of outstanding invoices by telephone and email from brokers/direct clientsAllocate payments and take customer card payment over the telephoneInvestigate and resolve customer queriesProduce and issue monthly customer statementsInvestigate unidentified and unallocated payments receivedWork collaboratively with other teams within the business to achieve resultsUse invoicing portals/web based platforms to monitor payments and upload invoicesEscalate problem accounts through the appropriate channelsWeekly Ledger reviews with PandL Lead and business partnerMaintain weekly reports and provide accurate feedback in a timely mannerMaintain accurate customer contact recordsAs part of our team, you will get:

Significant previous experience within a credit control roleIntermediate Excel skills and knowledge of other MS packagesConfidence, with an excellent telephone mannerCommercially minded, with an ability to build a positive rapport with both internal and external customersComfortable in a target driven environment with the ability to work to strict deadlinesProactive and tenacious in your approach to cash collection and query resolutionWell organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasksIdeally, you will also:
