Senior Test Analyst - 4 Months Contract at Infogain

The Senior Test Analyst role is responsible for the activities of the test effort, including identifying and executing the necessary tests, and logging the outcomes of that testing. The role supports the ATM Solutions Manager and the Test Team both in the UK and the US offshore resource. The Senior Test Analyst is expected to author test scripts, test plans and contribute towards estimates and priorities for assigned tasks/products. Interaction with third parties will also be required.Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Designing test scripts, scenarios and test data appropriate to the current testing activities.Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test, design test conditions based on the analysis of system functions, avoiding unnecessary complexity.Log errors discovered in verification of test execution – recover from these errors and analyze their causes.Attend/lead document walkthroughs, reviews and inspections for user requirements.Evaluate the outcome (coverage, success, progress, quality) of each testing cycle and create reports for the ATM Solutions Manager.Demonstrate a good knowledge of the software development life cycle.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ATM models and their differences with regards to testing activities.Ensure the requirements as specified are testable, the test coverage is correctly applied, and are implemented accurately.Point out areas with the ATM Solutions Manager where the application developed seems to stray from the agreed requirements.Contribute towards estimates and risk analysis for the project and liaise with the ATM Solutions Manager.Provide written updates on testing progress with emphasis on early updates of issues that may delay software delivery.Support the ATM Solutions Manager in mentoring/assisting all Test Personnel in the UK and ensuring new procedures and practices are followed.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Thorough knowledge of testing approaches, techniques and standards expected in an industry-standard software development life cycle.Good working knowledge of Postilion (4.x, 5.x versions) and Active/Active configurations.Good understanding of how ATMs work.Use of SQL for testing investigations.Strong analytical and presentation skills, documentation and reporting skills, problem-solving abilities.Well organized and self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.Training and/or experience in the use of test automation/management tools.Good time management and the ability to track/record work across multiple projects.About UsInfogain is a leader in digital customer experience engineering based in Silicon Valley.
