Team Leader - Manufacturing - Ashton Under Lyne Full time, permanent position, day shift A well-established manufacturer supplying major UK retailers is looking for a team leader with strong man management skills to be responsible for a small team of machinists operating a range of wood cutting equipment. This is a hands-on role working alongside the team in a busy light manufacturing environment. As Team Leader you will be responsible for: Leading, motivating and overseeing a team of production operatives to ensure schedules are met within required time frames and to set QC standards. Supporting and training operatives and maintaining records. Driving standards and monitoring quality controls to reduce issues and delays Health and safety departmental responsibility Troubleshooting machinery issues and developing improved production techniques. You will ideally have the following skills and experience: Experience in light manufacturing within a wood / MDF environment ideal but not essential. Ability to motivate and lead a team Highly organised with strong administration and communication skills.
