Maintenance Plumber - Fixed Term (40 Days)
Location: Lewisham Hospital, London
Rate: -180/day
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Mechanical operative with strong mechanical skills to join the Facilities & Estates team at Lewisham Hospital on a fixed-term 40-day contract.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid plumbing/mechanical knowledge and experience working in a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), including drainage PPMs, strainer maintenance, and basic pump maintenance
• Work across plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing/mechanical faults independently where possible
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Follow hospital health & safety and operational procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance plumber or mechanical engineer
• Basic DBS certificate (essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Fixed term: 40 working days
• Location: Lewisham Hospital, London
• Rate: -180 per day
• Start: Immediate
