A well-regarded secondary school in Ealing is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join our site team from September 2025. This is an important role in helping us maintain a safe, clean and well-managed environment for our students, staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities as School Caretaker

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks across the school site

• Opening and locking the school each day, ensuring the site is secure

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times

• Supervising cleaning staff and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the premises

• Assisting with the setup of rooms and spaces for school events, exams and other activities

• Monitoring contractors on site and supporting planned maintenance tasks

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience in a caretaking, site management or facilities role, ideally within a school

• Good practical skills in areas such as plumbing, painting or basic carpentry

• An understanding of health and safety procedures

• A proactive and flexible approach to work

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one
