We are looking for an exceptional leader to join a forward-thinking local authority as the Strategic Head of Place - Housing. This senior leadership position will oversee the full scope of housing strategy and management services for over 17,000 homes, including general needs, leasehold, supported housing, and temporary accommodation. You will be responsible for embedding a resident-first culture and leading service transformation to deliver outstanding outcomes across homelessness prevention, neighbourhood services, allocations, tenancy sustainment, and more. You will join a dynamic and collaborative executive team, playing a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across all housing functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the Housing Management Division, delivering high-quality services to tenants and leaseholders. Oversee development and implementation of the Council''s Housing Strategy, including homelessness prevention, allocations, and supported housing commissioning. Drive service transformation, cultural change, and organisational improvement across the division. Manage large teams, ensuring strong performance, financial control, and value for money.
